MGCC Welcomes Chief Lending Officer Meghan Parnell

MGCC is pleased to announce and welcome Meghan Parnell as its new Chief Lending Officer. Meghan brings more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry to MGCC, including 10 years in commercial lending and leading teams. With MGCC, she will be responsible for overseeing the lending department, expanding relationships with financial partners and facilitating commercial loans to the Commonwealth’s small businesses.

“What most appealed to me about MGCC is that it is wholeheartedly devoted to the small business arena,” Ms. Parnell said. “My priority is to make sure that the name MGCC is well known across the state and ensure that resources available through MGCC are being utilized and known to all those who can benefit from them.”

Meghan has worked in organizations of various sizes, leading the development of a small business lending division in a community financial institution, and most recently spending two years in the FinTech industry, focused on supporting financial institutions in digitizing and improving efficiencies in their small business lending processes. She holds an associate degree in mathematics from Holyoke Community College, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UMass Amherst. A resident of Holyoke, she has been a member of multiple boards of directors including as Treasurer of the Holyoke Community College Foundation, Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce, Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School, and Family Outreach of Amherst.
